Open Question: Why can we not revive the dead?

If we traveled back a few centuries ago, the idea of creating "a computer" and sharing information across the world within seconds would be none less than cynical. Fewer than that, harnessing electricity/ nature would have one be declared insane. Though it seems impossible today, there is no need to dismiss such an idea. We are now at a time in which labs are creating artificial body parts, cloning is possible, etc. I know oxygen is needed, I know organs fail, I know cells die off, I know blood is constantly needed as a fuel, I know degeneration occurs, and so on; I know. Nevertheless, where I'm geared towards is: how is there no way nothing that deals with artificial creations, stem cells, electricity, heavy-duty life support, or otherwise, could bring back the dead? It's sort of a reverse-engineering, then recreation, that I see. Science expresses ideas have a reasoning behind them, and, with set criteria, said ideas can be repeated. Ex: throw a ball into air → ball falls. Rub ball. Throw ball into air → ball falls. Slice ball. Throw ball into air → ball falls. Terrible example this is, but it does state- beyond our outlook upon what's happening to the ball- the ball will still fall. This is gravity to blame and not the ball's, but the same goes for creation/ life (as in bacteria, DNA, cellular respiration, etc. causes life and not the human itself). If there's a possibility for life/ living, which I surely would HOPE you don't deny, then I see a possibility of life reoccurring (to the same item before it has been altered since its initial stage), regardless of what us humans see as dead. ~ Too, I'm reading they're also reviving pig hearts and they're fully functional now ~ Summarization of question: What makes the dead, with all technology we have today and developing, absolutely 100% -without a doubt- limited to stay dead; couldn't we just recreate what science has given to us? P.S. I'm not as crazy as you think ;) Just a curious mind is all. Thank you.... Read More »
